About the Elizabethtown Tennis Commission



This Commission representing the City of Elizabethtown and the United State Tennis Association Kentucky (USTA Kentucky) and functioning in accordance with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) policies and constitution except set forth, herein shall be known as the Elizabethtown Tennis Commission (ETC). The ETC, as a Community Tennis Association (CTA), is a not-for-profit-specific organization that exists to utilize USTA and other effective programming to promote and develop the game of tennis in the community. Freeman Lake Tennis Complex-10 courts  / University Drive Park – 8 courts / American Legion Park – 4 courts
Indoor court available at Pritchard Community Center – Dec.- March; $20 for 1½ hours
Programs for 5 year olds to adults

Beginner Lessons for ages 5-10 and 11-17: $30 for 8 lessons (June-July)

Step UP-Match Play for Beginners--July
Match Play for youth ages 11-17 who can keep the ball in play and know how to keep score: $10 (June-July)

10 and Under Tennis-League play for ages 5-10. $35 (June- July)  
Jr. Fast Feed for youth who are ready for a challenging workout with a Tennis Pro: $60 for six 1½ hour sessions (June-July)
Youth Tournament: 18 and under, 16 and under, 14 and under, 12 and under divisions ($10)

State Farm Etown Open Tournament-Youth and Adult (CKTS) Heartland Shoot-Out: Singles by age divisions.


Beginner Lessons   Four 1½ hour lessons with Tennis Pro $40( June-July)

PTA - Parent Tennis Activity - Free introductory activities provided for parents with children participating in lessons. PTA will be held at the same time as the youth lessons.

Doubles League: Women (Tues) 6:30-8:30 Men (Thur) 7 pm to 9 pm, May through Oct. $30 ($20 for USTA Members) for the season - Balls are provided


State Farm – E-town Open Tournament: Singles and doubles for different skill levels for women and men as well as mixed doubles. (CKTS Tournament) Heartland Shoot-Out: Singles by age divisions.


Hilliard -Lyons Wooden Racquet Benefit Classic 


All ETC programs take place at Freeman Lake Tennis Complex, University Park Courts or American Legion Park on North Miles Street. Tennis is a great social and cardiovascular exercise that can be played by people of all ages, making it a great family activity. It’s the game for LIFE! GET OUT AND PLAY!!
